Satilla Regional Medical Center is accredited by the joint commission for 257 beds. With a strong referral base from 11 surrounding counties, this acute care facility provides care for for more than 40,000 emergency patients annually and delivers approximately 750 babies. Satilla Reginal is proud of its new cardiac catheterization laboratory, telemedicine capabilities, and the varied group of more than 100 physicians. Satilla Regional was recently recognized as a leading medical center in Southeast Georgia, and was subsequently chosen to offer the state’s 10th Family Practice Residency Program. With a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility (speech, physical & occupational therapy), a level II intensive care nursery, cardiac care, intensive care units, and an emergency department that can simultaneously monitor 12 cardiac patients, Satilla Regional is leading by example.
Health Services
The Ware County Health Department offers the community a number of public health services. Walk-in services include immunizations, hypertension screening, premarital blood testing, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, family planning, and several other planning and testing services.
