Waycross Middle School is extremely proud of its students, faculty and staff. Last year the school’s math team brought home several first and second place trophies from local and district competitions. One student was honored as a member of Georgia’s All-State Chorus. Students also won awards in district science and social studies fairs. Two students (one in science and one in social science) won top district awards.

The Success Bound Team received the Katherine Foss Excellence in Education award at the Chamber of Commerce award in January. A school-wide event, the Celebration of the Arts, includes a dinner theater production, a display of student work, and a complete musical and drama production. Student musicians perform at school activities, and students receive awards for their accomplishments.
